Harmonious off-grid living: Sustainable design with strong connection to place.

Goorambat House and Shed embody a philosophy of enhancing the living experience while fostering a deeper connection to place. Designed as a modern homestead, the project emphasises an outward-looking building that harmonises with its surroundings, enabling residents to cultivate a stronger bond with their environment. The concept encompasses a walled courtyard garden, climate-responsive design, and off-grid service systems for energy and water resilience. This contextual response showcases the merits of rammed earth construction, passive design, and off-grid services in supporting sustainable living with climate resilience.
